Chung tay góp sức — our charity runs on the kindness of people like you.

Three Ways to Help

Give your time, your skills, or your support

As a small, volunteer-run charity, every contribution — an hour of teaching, a helping hand at a festival, or a donation — directly keeps our programs alive.

Volunteer

Teach in our weekend Vietnamese language school, help prepare festival meals, assist with temple upkeep, visit seniors, or lend professional skills (administration, translation, IT, maintenance). Training and a warm welcome provided.

Donate

Your donation maintains the temple, funds teaching materials for our language school, and supports pastoral care for people in need. Donations of any size are gratefully received in person at the temple or by bank transfer — contact us for details.

Join the Community

The simplest way to support us is to take part: come to a Sunday service, enrol your children in the language school, bring your parents to the seniors’ gathering, and celebrate Vesak, Vu Lan and Tết with us.

Volunteer Roles

Where your time can make a difference

  • Language school teachers & assistants — weekend classes for children aged 6–15 (Vietnamese speakers especially welcome)
  • Festival volunteers — cooking, setup, decorations and children’s activities at Vesak, Vu Lan and Tết
  • Seniors’ program helpers — transport, companionship and meal service
  • Temple care — gardening, cleaning and light maintenance
  • Professional support — administration, translation, accounting, web and IT

All volunteers working with children are supported to obtain the required Working with Children Check.

How Donations Are Used

Every dollar stays in the community

We are a not-for-profit incorporated association. No funds are paid to members, and our committee serves voluntarily. Donations go directly to:

  • Books, stationery and materials for the Vietnamese language & culture school
  • Temple utilities, insurance, maintenance and safety
  • Food and logistics for community festivals and seniors’ gatherings
  • Pastoral care visits and emergency support for families in hardship

To arrange a donation, please email info@anlachanh.org or speak with our committee at the temple.
